Keep Everything Secret Until It’s Done

I stopped telling people what I’m working on. It sounds a little philosophical—maybe even a bit woo-woo—but every time I share my plans, even with loved ones, they bring in their own energy and the project just never seems to come to fruition.

It happens to me almost every single time. I’ll get an idea, map out a new project, and get really excited about the momentum. Even if I tell someone close to me who genuinely supports what I do, the moment I share the plan, the dynamic shifts.

They unknowingly bring in their own beliefs, their own doubts, and their own expectations. Suddenly, that drive I had starts to stall, and the thing I was so pumped to build just never ends up happening.

Because of that, I’ve completely changed how I operate. I no longer tell anybody what I’m planning to do or what I’m currently building. I just protect the idea and work in silence, and I don’t say a single word about it until it’s 100% complete and ready to ship.
