Costco Has My Favorite Black T-Shirts

I pretty much only wear black t-shirts, and the best ones I’ve found are the Costco Kirkland Signature 100% cotton t-shirt. Here is my system for rotating them every few months and what I do when the black color inevitably starts to fade.

You get a six-pack of their 205 GSM heavyweight shirts for around 23 to 26 bucks, and they are genuinely the best ones out there. The only problem is that, just like any black fabric, they start to fade after a few months of washing them every day.

So, I have a system. Every few months, I’ll buy a couple of new packs. Then, I take all of my old, faded shirts and use a Sharpie to color in the collar tags. That way, I know exactly which ones are the old ones so I don’t make a mistake. Those old ones become my sleeping shirts, and the brand-new ones become my everyday shirts.

I’ve seen other brands at Target and Walmart, but after one wash, they are usually pretty much done. Even if the color fades or the stitching eventually starts to peel off on these, paying around $23 for a six-pack that lasts me a few months is totally worth it.
