One minute you barely care about it, and the next, it’s your daily morning Instagram post.

Depending on the coffee shop you visit and what you order, buying a cup of coffee every day can be kind of pricey. I mean that almost literally because the alternative is making it at home for $1.10, which is why I love the Nespresso Vertuo Next.

A few months ago, we got a Nespresso Vertou Next machine, and at first, it felt like an unnecessary purchase.

If you drink coffee a little more than the average person buying it every day can quickly add up, which for me it’s more often than I care to admit.

I’ve tried making coffee at home before, but it never turned out as good as buying one from my favorite coffee shop.

But that was before we had this Nespresso machine which can make the perfect cup of coffee every time. And it also pays for itself while saving you money in the first year of having it.

Buying coffee every day is a scam.

I love grabbing a cup of coffee as much as the next person, and I know that for some people going to a coffee shop is a great way to get work done or have a quick meeting.

But honestly, it’s not all it is cracked up to be, especially when you consider all the factors that come with buying a cup of coffee every day.

One of the two biggest factors for me is the daily trip to the coffee shop.

Unless you live right above or around the corner from a coffee shop, it’s most likely a short walk or drive, and depending on the day and time you go, you also have to deal with parking or long lines.

Coffee shops have tried to make it easier by introducing mobile orders but making it at home removes the commute saving you time and money.

The other big problem I have with buying coffee is that I never know if it will be good because coffee shops have a rotating shift of employees. So you don’t always get the same person making your coffee every time; everyone makes it a little different.

That’s the reason why I love the Nespresso Vertuo Next.

Having a Nespresso machine is cheaper than buying coffee every day, and as I mentioned, it pays for itself in the first year. For example, the cost of a Nespresso Vertuo Next machine right now is $146 compared to the previous price of $209.

A cup of coffee at your local coffee shop can cost you $5 or more, which means if you have a cup of coffee every day for a year, you’d be spending $1825 or more.

Nespresso has over 40 different types of coffee and espresso flavors. My favorite is the DOUBLE ESPRESSO DOLCE. You get a sleeve of 10 pods for $11, making each cup of coffee $1.10

With the cost of the machine factored in, making a cup of coffee every day at home costs $548, saving you over $1277.

Also, it’s a lot more convenient.

You simply place the pod of your choice in the machine and press the button once. Your coffee is automatically dispensed and ready to drink in 30 seconds. Then simply open the lid to dispense the used capsule into a trash tray, and just like that, the machine is ready to be used again.

There’s no commute, long lines to deal with, and you get the same tasting coffee every time. You can add any flavors you choose and even froth your own milk with the included frother, which does both hot and cold milk.

A good cup of coffee makes my day.

Making coffee at home not only helped me save money and time but also allowed me to master the taste of my coffee. The DOUBLE ESPRESSO DOLCE poured over ice with a splash of oat, and condensed milk is the perfect combination every time. I don’t like my coffee too dark but also not too light I can almost always tell when it’s good or not based on the color.

For any true coffee lover, you know that having a good cup of coffee determines your day. So consider giving it a try, and I’d love to hear what your favorite coffee is down below.
